Military
Helping Veterans understand the value that their military experience provides, that they can continue a life of service in the civilian sector, and that they don’t need to be defined by their military service
Many veterans see their time in service as “just doing what they’re told” and can often become completely defined by their uniform, but I see that experience so differently. Veterans have developed the ability to challenge their mindset and overcome obstacles, possess an uncommon willingness to serve other people, and hold themselves to the highest standards.
These unique experiences can lead to feeling defined by uniform and rank, or that there’s a need to recreate a “new self” after service. This can be overwhelming and can make Vets feel like they no longer have purpose. It’s time to challenge those assumptions and find a new, meaningful path forward.

Education
Helping people to see the unique value that they can provide regardless of their background and how to use their skills or experience to maximize returns and outputs
There are 1,000 ways to talk ourselves out of our competencies. It seems like there are endless expectations to have a perfect resume with the right degrees, the right certifications, and the right experience at work. I have consistently found myself with none of them, but have always found a way to demonstrate my value. I firmly believe that everyone can create value, provide insight, and “win” in their life and career without a blue-chip resume.
Family Issues
Helping people learn how to achieve their best life and highest purpose by overcoming hurt they feel from their family and recognize that their life does not need to be driven by their family’s choices
I spent the better part of 20 years hearing how I couldn’t do things, shouldn’t do things, or would be damned if I somehow did do things. I was told I wasn’t “right” and that I needed to change in order to be accepted and avoid being an outcast. Then I learned that the best way to care for my family is to care for myself and it’s ok to delineate between the people that we love, and the actions or words that come from them. The only one who will truly hold any of us back from accomplishing our goals is ourselves.
Finding Faith
Helping people learn to deal with challenging and questioning their faith and teaching them how to overcome the doubts that arise as a result.
When something as internally important as one’s faith - especially when it’s a significant part of your upbringing - becomes uncertain or a question, it can create a feeling of loss, confusion, and self-doubt. Learning how to work through these feelings is invigorating and will lead to a happier and more successful life, provide freedom and security, and build a new sense of self and purpose
The common thread that drives my passion for each of these areas is simply that, “you have value for just who you are and that value is not set by your circumstance, background, or the people in your life”
